Roles & Responsibilities

1. Policy : Create Material Sourcing Policies For The Group And Ensure Alignment To The Policies In The Group Companies And Divisions 2. Procurement Management - Long Term Planning And Strategy To Meet Business / Projects Requirements: A. Study Global Industry Trends In Procurement, Logistics And Shipping (Competitive Intelligence, Industry Forecasts, Buying Trends) For Cotton, Yarn, Coal, Sulphur B. Align Sourcing Strategies With Overall Trident Business Strategyc. C. Understand Business Requirements And Review/ Approve Annual/ Weekly/ Monthly Sourcing Plan Based On Annual Business And Production Plans D. Evaluate Feasibility Of Alternatives (Outsourcing/Contracting Etc.) To Ensure Timely Delivery And Cost Optimization E. Plan For The Global Procurement Of Raw Materials (Yarn, Cotton, Sulphur, Coal Etc.) And Direct Variables, Logistics And Shipping Costs Within Budget F. Develop Plans To Improve Control Of Inventory And On Time Delivery To The Customer G. Work Colt F. Develop Plans To Improve Control Of Inventory And On Time Delivery To The Customer G. Work Collaboratively With Business Heads To Ensure Smooth Delivery Of Services To The Businesses H. Provide Direction To The Exim Function To Get The Maximum Rebate And Duty Entitlement (If Applicable) 3. Drive Initiatives To Reduce Cost A. Study Possibilities Of Frame Contracts And The Benefits It Will Deliver B. Build Partnerships With Preferred Vendors (Rm Suppliers, Logistics) To Ensure 100% Vessel Sailing Otif As Per Customer Requirement And Asset Care
